Nappy Monster is an app aimed at toddlers and children up to 4 years of age and their parents.
The main free game the app opens with is a version of the old classic game of peekaboo, with the toddler trying to coax the little monster to come out from behind the basket and make him laugh, jump about and roar in delight by touching his tummy.
You also get one free additional feature: “Learn Your Veg”, where the monster will help your child learn about different fruit and vegetables. The Nappy Monster comes out to the garden and stands in front of a veg patch. A row of vegetables, fruit and other garden objects appears at the bottom of the screen. Selecting one will make the monster jump and say the name of the vegetable or object selected, so your toddler can repeat after him and build associations between the object and the name.
You can also purchase a second feature “Learn the Alphabet” from the secure Parent’s Area. It is designed to help your child learn their letters. Once the feature is enabled, a row of colourful letter buttons appears on the screen. As soon as a letter is pressed, the Nappy Monster jumps up and pronounces the sound of that letter, encouraging your child to repeat after him.
